Simple

For the last few months my laptop has been excruciatingly slow. However, I’ve just made the whole experience of using it a joy of slippery smooth speediness by deleting a load of files, uninstalling programs and generally stripping away all the unnecessary stuff that’s accumulated over the past year.

You can apply the same approach to any of your projects: distill their content and make them far more effective: (see my post ‘Don’t Waste My Time!‘).

You think you’ve created a beautiful presentation, and it may indeed be full of juicy treats. But instead of presenting a massive feast of information that bloats, how about some giving your audience the presentation equivalent of some fine dining? Select the very best elements, get them right, and only present those.

Your reward will be that your audience remembers a far greater proportion of what you give them, instead of the usual one or two points from something far longer.
